Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities
Each year, the Board of DD provides services and supports to more than 10,000 boys and girls and men and women in Cuyahoga County. The community knows us best for our early childhood centers, schools, adult activities centers and group homes, but we’re much more than that. Our full range of services includes everything from in-home early intervention programs for very young children and their families to leisure programs for seniors. Much of what we do goes beyond the walls of our own centers and homes and takes place in the community, where we encourage individuals with developmental disabilities to live, learn, work and play
National Rehabilitation Information Center (NARIC)
We are a library and information center which serves anyone from the professional or lay person. We do collect and disseminate the results specifically from NIDRR funded research projects. Though our collect includes other documents related to disability and rehabilitation which are not NIDRR funded. Perhaps placement as a national organization may be more appropriate? As part of our referral services we provide a myriad of information on all types of rehabilitation and disability topics (i.e. advocacy, financial resources, specific disabilities/conditions, etc.). Information and referral services are free. We also provide document delivery of publications starting at 5 cents per page with a $5.00 USD minimum. Share A Chair Program - Deepwood Foundation
Therapeutic Items available to families FREE – part of the Share a Chair Program funded through RMHC-NED. Application for Deepwood Foundation Assistance Grants available to any child in Lake Co. with a Developmental Disability and are reviewed quarterly. Contact Rikke Coach
The Up Side of Downs of Greater Cleveland
The Up Side of Downs of Greater Cleveland provides programs and services to improve the quality of life for individuals with Down syndrome and their families. The USOD serves over 800 families caring for a loved one with Down syndrome in the Northeast Region of Ohio.
